ZOMBIE UPDATES FROM THE CONVENTIONWelcome back to our live updates here at Wizard World Philly!

I went over to the Rigor Mortis Revue booth and spoke to Graham Groff (aka Doctor Spookenstein) and discussed the art of “making people look dead.” Doctor Spookenstein has been displaying his “art” around the convention all weekend at Wizard World’s first zombie make-up booth.

We headed over to the Zombie Costume Contest panel where Graham, as well as Night of the Living Dead legends John Russo and George Kosana, and of course, the “Godfather of Gore,” Tom Savini, were all judges.

Contestants were definitely in character, each one attempting to sell their performance better than the last (My personal favorite being a child contestant telling the audience that brains “give you gas”.) The competition was very competitive, despite there being about eight contestants; everyone had a great costume. The winner was a “zombie chef” named Joe, who sported a chef hat and an apron saying, “kiss the cannibal.”

There is tons of fun going on here today, so I will return shortly to keep you all updated. I never knew being a zombie could be so much fun
