Ever since his debut in the early 1970s, "Rowdy" Roddy Piper has steadily built his legend to become one of the greatest wrestling villains of all time. Piper first made a name for himself in the NWA with feuds against Ric Flair, Chavo Guerrero Sr., Sgt. Slaughter and Greg Valentine.
However it was Piper’s stint in the WWF that solidified his standing among the elite, thanks to unforgettable confrontations with Hulk Hogan, Jimmy Snuka, Adrian Adonis and Mr. T. Additionally, Piper served as host for a weekly interview segment called The Piper’s Pit, that served as an inspiration and as a forerunner to today’s promo driven wrestling performances.
Piper has also established himself as an actor, taking the lead in John Carpenter’s cult classic THEY LIVE, as well as roles in HIGHLANDER: THE SERIES, ROBOCOP: THE SERIES, GHOSTS OF GARFIELD and HELL COMES TO FROGTOWN. His next film projects include FANCYPANTS and CLEAR LAKE.
Piper wrote a biography called In the Pit with Piper: Roddy Gets Rowdy and he was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2005.
