WRESTLING LEGEND RIC FLAIR CLAMPS THE FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK ON BIG APPLE COMIC-CON!Over the course of his legendary 36 year career and 16 World Heavyweight Championships with the NWA, WCW and WWE; "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair has become widely regarded as one of the greatest professional wrestlers to ever enter the ring.

Flair’s wrestling career began in the early 70’s, with stints in the AWA and later the NWA. As Flair worked his way up the card, he fought future wrestling legends Dusty Rhodes, André the Giant, Larry Hennig, Wahoo McDaniel, Ricky Steamboat, Roddy Piper, Mr. Wrestling II, Jimmy Snuka, Greg Valentine and the original "Nature Boy", Buddy Rogers.

Flair dominated the NWA during the 80’s, winning his first World title in 1981. Even as a heel, Flair’s flamboyant style embodied the role of the World Champion to a generation of wrestling fans. Flair’s signature “Wooo!’ shout is regularly referenced in sports events even to this day, including Baseball, Basketball and Hockey games.

During his heyday in the NWA, Flair formed the legendary wrestling stable, The Four Horsemen with Arn & Ole Anderson and Tully Blanchard. Throughout the rest of the decade, Flair had memorable feuds with Harley Race, Kerry Von Erich, Sting, Ronnie Garvin, Magnum T.A., Lex Luger, Barry Windham and Sting.

In the 90’s, Flair had his first stint in the WWE, winning the World title twice before returning to WCW, where he won an additional six World Championships. Flair ended his active wrestling career with a long stint back in the WWE, where he faced modern wrestling superstars Triple H, Shawn Michaels, Randy Orton, Kurt Angle, Mick Foley and Chris Jericho.

Since his retirement from wrestling, Flair has appeared as an actor in the video game, COMMAND & CONQUER: RED ALERT 3 – UPRISING.
