Don't miss your chance to meet TV and movie star, William Shatner at Big Apple Comic Con.
WILLIAM SHATNER ADDS ANOTHER APPEARANCE DAY DUE TO OVERWHELMING DEMANDOriginally scheduled for a Saturday only appearance, Shatner added Sunday to his schedule last week. Now, Shatner announced that he will also appear at Big Apple Comic Con on Friday as well, making his attendance at Big Apple Comic Con all weekend long. The additional appearances are due to an outpouring of fan requests and strong advance ticket sales.

Over the course of his nearly 60 year career, William Shatner has truly done it all. He landed his first acting gig in the early 50s in the film THE BUTLERíS NIGHT OFF, before making his mark on TV with appearances in HOWDY DOODY, STUDIO ONE, PLAYHOUSE 90, GUNSMOKE, ALFRED HITCHCOCK PRESENTS, THRILLER, 77 SUNSET STRIP, ROUTE 66, THE DEFENDERS, THE MAN FROM U.N.C.L.E. and two of the most famous episodes of THE TWILIGHT ZONE.

In 1966, Shatner was a cast in the original STAR TREK as Captain James T. Kirk, a role that would make him a cultural icon. Though the series initially had difficulties finding a wider audience, Shatnerís unforgettable persona across three seasons helped spark a revival of STAR TREK as a popular movie series. Shatner reprised the role of Kirk in seven STAR TREK films, ending his run in STAR TREK GENERATIONS with the death of his beloved character.

Outside of STAR TREK, Shatner found success in a number of films and TV series, including HAWAII FIVE-O, MISSION IMPOSSIBLE, MANNIX, THE SIX MILLION DOLLAR MAN, IRONSIDE and COLUMBO before landing the starring role in the police drama T.J. HOOKER, which ran for four years.

In 1994, Shatner brought his TekWar novels to television as multiple two hour movies which quickly became a weekly TV series. Some of his other notable roles in that decade include LOADED WEAPON 1, SEAQUEST DSV, MISS CONGENIALITY, 3RD ROCK FROM THE SUN and FREE ENTERPRISE, which humorously poked fun at his Captain Kirk persona.

More recently, Shatner has found renewed acclaim for his role as the lawyer Denny Crane, who was introduced on the last season of THE PRACTICE before appearing in the spin-off BOSTON LEGAL for five seasons. Shatner became one of the first actors to win an Emmy for the same role in two different series.

Outside of acting, Shatner is a prolific novelist. Aside from his TEKWAR series, Shatner has written a series of MAN Oí WAR and QUEST FOR TOMORROW novels in addition to a number of STAR TREK adventures with co-writers Judith and Garfield Reeves-Stevens.

William Shatner will be making a rare convention appearance at Big Apple Comic Con to greet fans and sign autographs. Donít miss your chance to meet this pop culture icon!
