Influenced by comics and cartoons from young, William Jamison started drawing at the age of seven. Art, along with sports, was more of a hobby at first, but soon became a serious part of his life. William credits his Art Professor from junior high with spotting his potential, a Professor who then recommended to William's mother that he enroll in the High School of Art and Design. William received four years of training, majoring in all forms of Illustration and Cartooning, including watercolors. He then attended the New York City College of Technology, where he studied Graphic and Advertising Design for two years, earning his degree. William utilized his degree and talents to do freelance work for multiple small publishers local businesses. William is currently working on his personal creations and touring the comic convention circuit, and always willing to meet new contacts, more freelance work, and commissions. As an artist, I would hope my work can influence people to be creative and to see the potential in life. My work is a reflection of what is currently going on around me, or as a means of dealing with my own faults and development spiritually. Imagination is just a few steps from becoming reality.
