One to watch for 2012, Victor L. Castro (or V.L. Castro as most of his work is signed) continues to break into the mainstream industry with solid line work that pays homage to the legends of comics. A style that shows influence from comic greats such as John Byrne, John Romita Jr. and Mark McKenna, becomes comfortable and a breath of fresh hair for new comic readers and fans for many years. Victor first made a name for himself during the 2009 Comic Book Challenge from Platinum Studios by placing 10th internationally, since then he has worked for Arcana Studios, Platinum Studios, Lights Out Film Group, Breygent Marketing and most recently participated in the DC/Hero Initiative partnership for JLA #50.
Victor is also a combat veteran that currently serves as a Department of Defense Civilian at the West Point Military Academy.
