Movies, TV, comics, art, sci-fi and the rest of the pop culture world are covered with the diverse, full four day programming schedule at Wizard World Chicago Comic Con, August 9-12 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center. From interactive Q&A sessions with stars like Stan Lee, William Shatner, Jon Bernthal and WWE® Superstar CM Punk® to themed panels highlighting “Star Trek,” “NCIS” and more, to a movie screening, evening parties, kids activities, costume contests and Jedi Master Classes, there’s something for everyone in the expanded offerings.

Highlight programming at Wizard World Chicago Comic Con includes:

• Celebrity Q&A’s featuring Lee, Bernthal, WWE® Superstar CM Punk®, Bruce Campbell, James Marsters and more
• Three “Star Trek” captains reunite as Shatner (“Captain Kirk”) Scott Bakula (“Captain Archer”) and Avery Brooks (“Captain Sisko”) compare stories of their respective times at the command of the Enterprise
• Discussion of the hit “NCIS” franchise with lovely ladies Lauren Holly and Scottie Thompson
• The Boondock Saints trio of Sean Patrick Flanery, Norman Reedus and David Della Rocco rekindle memories of the popular 1999 cult movie and sequel 10 years later
• Screening of the new film Contamination - A Convention Story, an in-depth look at the fans and celebrities who attend Horror, Sci-Fi, and Pop Culture Conventions
• Party with fellow Wizard World revelers at the Artist Party on Thursday and VIP Launch Party on Friday (sites and times TBD)
• Love is in the air with Sci-Fi Speed Dating, for those looking to “Terminate” their single lives
• Kids Day on Sunday, with a full slate of activities specially designed for the youngsters
• It wouldn’t be Wizard World Comic Con without cosplay and costume contests – adults on Saturday night, kids on Sunday

Unless noted, programming events take place in designated rooms at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center. Many are included as part of standard Wizard World Chicago Comic Con admission; VIP tickets or additional costs may apply to ensure access to select activities. Seating for panels is strictly limited and available on a first come first serve basis and each room will be cleared between panels. 1:00PM – 1:45PM SPOTLIGHT ON CAFU AND DANIEL ACUNA
Come meet two of Spain’s hottest art superstars in this rare appearance at an American Con. CAFU will speak on his beginnings in the American Comic–book industry to his current New–52 work in books like Action Comics, Grifter or Blackhawks for DC Comics to the peculiarities of working from overseas and with a different cultural background. Also appearing will be Daniel Acuna, who started the Black Widow ongoing series, Daniel provided art for Captain America #611, New Avengers #8, Wolverine, and X-Men Schism. After a stint on The Avengers, he’s now working the AvX issues of Uncanny X-Men. His next project is SO BIG it needs to be TOP SECRET! This is a joint panel that you want to make sure you land in! Spiderman writer Paul Jenkins is here and ready to share with you what it took to put together a superhero comic book! Paul Jenkins is a British comic book writer. He has had much success crossing over into the American comic book market. Primarily working for Marvel Comics, he has had a big part shaping the characters of the company over the past decade. He will walk you through the process, production and aftermath of his work. (ROOM 11)

Calling all aspiring Comic Book Professionals! Dust off your portfolios and have them reviewed by industry-insider, Shon C. Bury. Shon is an 18-year veteran of the comic industry. He has written for well-known publishers and manages the industry's premier talent management and packaging company. He is inviting you out for a meet and greet to review your portfolio with you. 4:00PM – 4:45PM INSIDE THE SHADOW SHOW: LEGACY OF RAY BRADBURY
Internationally acclaimed horror writer Mort Castle (The Strangers), co-editor of “Shadow Show: All-New Stories In Celebration of Ray Bradbury” is joined by Shadow Show contributors Jay Bonansinga (with Robert Kirkman, co-author of The Walking Dead: Rise of The Governor), novelist Bayo Ojikutu (Free Burning), Joe Meno (Hairstyles of The Damned), and Audrey Niffenegger (The Time Traveler's Wife) to reflect on the deep and lasting impact of Bradbury on their work, literature, comics, cinema, and beyond. It’s been more than ten years since David Macho (Spanish Inq) brought the Spanish talent of Ramon Bachs, Jesus Saiz and Fernando Blanco’s to light in the American Comic Book Industry. No other comic–book artists’ agency has as many pencilers, inkers and colorists working for the major. Here’s your chance to share your work with David Macho himself, as he conducts professional art and portfolio reviews. (ROOM 11)

Learn lightsaber fighting from Star Wars stunt coordinator and sword master Nick Gillard, who choreographed the fight scenes for Star Wars I, II and III. In this 90–minute master class, Nick will teach a complicated run from “Revenge of the Sith,” which will cover all of the moves and the rules involved in Jedi fighting. Five Year Mission is the collaboration of five Star Trek fans who endeavor to write and record a song for each of the episodes of the original Star Trek series from the 1960’s. They are here and ready to perform a special show just for you! (ROOM 14)

Vic Mignogna is most certainly a jack–of–all–trades. His talents stretch from voice actor to the popular anime series “Fullmetal Alchemist” to the stage production “Camelot”. It’s no wonder why Mr. Mignogna was the 2007 recipient of the American Anime Awards for Best Actor for his work in “Fullmetal Alchemist”. Kevin Sorbo has enjoyed success on television for over 20 consecutive years, a feat rarely accomplished by an actor. Sorbo quickly rose to stardom in the title role of the hit series, “Hercules, the Legendary Journeys.” In 1997, Sorbo made his feature film debut in “Kull, the Conqueror,” a prequel to “Conan, the Barbarian.” Other films include, “Walking Tall, The Payback,” “Walking Tall, Lone Justice, “The Last Chance Café,” “Something Beneath,” “Clipping Adam,” and “The Avenging Angel.” Come pick his brain and see how Kevin has kept busy for 20 years. Come celebrate with some of your favorite “Buffy” cast members as they celebrate the 20th anniversary of the hit series “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” and we have some of your favorite cast members coming together to celebrate. Join James Marsters, Juliet Landau, Amber Benson, Camden Toy, and Doug Jones, as they give you a behind the scenes look at what really went down on set, where they are now and their take on the phenomenon that is “Buffy.” (ROOM 14)

Calling all kids ages 10 and under to come out and strut your stuff at the 12th Annual Wizard World Chicago Comic Con Kids Costume Contest. The bad boys of the blockbuster picture The Boondock Saints; Norman Reedus, Sean Patrick Flanery, and David Della Rocco will be storming the stage in style at Wizard World Chicago Comic Con. Join the MacManus brothers and Rocco as they rehash their experiences on set. (ROOM 14)

Come and experience the adventures of your favorite super-heroes and super-pets! New York Times best-selling author John Sazaklis will be reading selected stories to fans of all ages. The readings will be followed by a brief question and answer session, where John will share some of his secrets and quiz guests with fun trivia questions. The winners will receive a personally autographed copy of one of John's books featuring Superman, Batman, Spider-Man or the DC Super Pets. (ROOM 11)
