The USS Zavala is a chapter of Starfleet International, the oldest continuously operating Star Trek fan organization in the world. We dedicate ourselves to the ideals of diplomacy, justice, and the pursuit of knowledge espoused in the Star Trek genre. With membership from all over the far southeast of Texas from all walks of life and varying philosophies and approaches, we combine our diverse talents and individual abilities to accomplish our mutual goals. Among them: fund raising for Toys for Tots, the Houston Food Bank, One Laptop per Child, the Galveston Historical Society, and other charities our members care about; making new friends and expanding our networks; planning games and events; and above all else having fun.
