Samantha Hallenus has participated in the Metairie Art Guild and the Louisiana Watercolor Society. She has placed in Member’s Shows for both groups for watercolor paintings. She has participated in the WYES Art Auction and in Art Fest at the Louisiana Children’s Museum, as a demonstrator.
She has been selected to participate in the past in the Louisiana Arts & Artists Guild’s Shows and St. Tammany Art Association Shows. Her watercolor “Flowers To Brighten the Day” was selected by the Keyes Gallery in Missouri for one of their juried shows. She was selected to participate in the Recycle 4 the Arts - Worn Again Project 2008. Two of her paintings were selected into the LWS juried show at Oak Street Gallery in Hammond, LA and the STAA in 2010 and one was selected for the 2011 show at Fielding Gallery.
She did not receive a degree in art but did receive a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing from the University New Orleans. She has attended classes or workshops given by Amelie Belcher, Bobby Chiu, Paul Jackson, Joye Moon, H. C. Dodd, Tommy Yune, and various others.
