Robin was raised in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. She attended public art magnet schools from Kindergarten until her high school graduation. While growing up in a lifestyle saturated in creativity she subjected herself in several artistic disciplines from off-set printing to broken robot self portraits to real/plush taxidermy. Her love of felt/plush led her to the Midwest where she attended The School of the Art Institute of Chicago. After graduation in 2007, Robin pursued a personal art project heavily inspired by childhood memories of British children television shows and notebooks filled with messy doodles. These days, she owns the plush toy and film production studio, Little Brass Bird, with her husband Rhodrick Magsino. Together, they make a uniquely animated series featuring their toy designs and manage an online store where they hand make customizable plush toys for their fans!
