What are some of the avenues for women working in comics today? Nicky Wheeler-Nicholson (granddaughter and biographer of DC Comics founder Malcolm Wheeler-Nicholson), Nicole Emmelhainz (Writing Center Director at Christopher Newport University and author of articles on pulp writers), and Megan James (Senior at VCU and newly published author of Innsmouth) will lead a colorful discovery of the often surprising and unknown history of women in comics and pop culture.

Comics scholar M. Thomas Inge (Handbook of American Popular Culture; Will Eisner: Conversations), comics historian Danny Fingeroth (Superman on the Couch; Disguised as Clark Kent) and Nicky Wheeler-Nicholson (granddaughter and biographer of DC Comics founder Malcolm Wheeler-Nicholson) take you on a slideshow-guided tour of the histories of the heroes and the highlights of their careers in comics, on TV and in the movies!
