Accomplished comics writers Troy Brownfield (Prince Dracula), and Erica J. Heflin (Zenescope's Wonderland) show and tell you how to write comics and graphic novels, going from initial idea to outline to script to finished story. Plus, the panelists will answer your questions about both the creative and business sides of the comics writing profession, including how to find an artist to work with (hint: a comics convention is the number one place!) and how to write exciting dialogue! Looking good in cosplay takes more than just a costume! Come get some pro-tips on glamour makeup, special fx, body painting, and more from veteran cosplayer Mogchelle! We'll also talk about taking care of your skin, since a good canvas will give you better results for your final look! We’ll talk techniques, brushes, brands and more in this interactive Q&A! We may even tackle the dreaded fake eyelash application or Zombie flesh application on 1 lucky random guest!

Superherologist and psychologist Dr. Travis Langley (author of Batman and Psychology: A Dark and Stormy Knight) delves beneath Batman’s cowl to examine the complex inner world of Bruce Wayne in comic books and films. Does Batman have PTSD, OCD, or any other mental illness? Why the mask, the bat, and attraction to the cat he ought to lock up? Why won't he kill that homicidal, green-haired clown? And what lies ahead for Gotham City’s masked hero? Is Batman broken?

Join Wizard World’s Damian Beurer and an assembly of top-notch cosplayers who will tell you everything you need to know about dressing up in costumes and going out in public. From wardrobe malfunctions to crazy fans, to how to construct your own costumes and even how to go to the bathroom (you know, in costume), this cosplay squad will give you the inside skinny on the ultimate in spandex fandom. We’ll share photos, take questions from the audience, and hopefully inspire you to join in.

All artist and writers are invited to come and compete in this live drawing and writing competition! You bring the creativity and we will take care of the rest! Scenarios and scenes will be described to the artist and writers, where you will have 1 hour to compete. Stay through to the end where one writer and one artist will be selected to win amazing prizes such as Corel PainterX3, Artograph lightpad and a Canson prize pack. Would a superhero’s love life be like that of a real world soldier, firefighter, undercover detective, or rock star? Frankly, who wants to date a superhero? They show up late for dates, they run out on you at random times just to go save the world, and they bring danger into your life simply by knowing you. Michael Rooker, who burst on the scene more than two decades ago in the title role in Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer, also had key roles in Cliffhanger, The Bone Collector, Mississippi Burning, Sea of Love and Days of Thunder. While many have fit the brute, villain and psychopath type, he has also shown versatility in numerous “good guy” roles in his career, none more apparent than the love-hate fan favorite Merle Dixon on AMC’s acclaimed series, The Walking Dead. In 1939, Marvel Comics #1 debuted, unleashing The Sub-Mariner and The Human Torch on the world, and launching what would come to be known as the Marvel Universe. 5:30-6:15PM THE ART OF SATURDAY MORNING CARTOON PRODUCTION WITH ANIMATOR & DIRECTOR TOM COOK (ROOM 134)
Wizard World is proud to present world-renown animator Tom Cook (Tarzan; Flash Gordon; He-Man and the Masters of the Universe; She-Ra Princess of Power) to Indy! This panel will be a demonstration of the steps taken to bring an idea from script to screen. Cook will begin with a short story of how he became an animator back in the late 1970s and then describe the different departments in an animation studio and what they do to move the development of the cartoon forward. Tom will have a few scenes he has worked on over the years on video and then will open the floor for questions about either the process or any other question you may have. So come out and see first-hand how your favorite cartoons were made!

6:30-7:15PM BACK TO THE FUTURE: ADVENTURES IN A DELOREAN TIME MACHINE (ROOM 136)
Join professional time travelers Terry and Oliver Holler as they take you BACK through their incredible journey to find one's Density, then inspire you forward into the FUTURE!

Terry and Oliver Holler are theatre veterans who, using inspiration from their favorite movie 'Back to the Future', hand-built their own DeLorean Time Machine. They travel the states (and several other countries!) promoting the official website 'BackToTheFuture.com' and raising awareness and funding for the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research.

12:00-12:45PM THE MODERN INDIE FILMMAKER: EXCLUSIVE INSIGHT INTO EXTRATERRESTRIAL SCI-FI/THRILLER FEATURE “THE THREE” (ROOM 136)
Versa Studios Media is an up and coming production company who is in the midst of making their second full length feature, The Three. Our movie is the first movie to explore three types of alien species: insectoids, reptilians, and the greys. We have already completed 25 minutes of our film and are using it as a proof of concept. The proof of concept was entirely self-funded thanks to our film’s successful one-month Indiegogo campaign. Our producers now plan to tour with these segments and seek additional investment to bring the entirety of the film to life. In our panel, we'll discuss "The Three," which stars Lew Temple (The Walking Dead, Devil's Rejects) and Robert Pralgo (Vampire Diaries, Taken 3). We’ll also present our trailer and some clips from the film, discuss the ups and downs to being new filmmakers in the industry and answer any questions you may have for us pertaining to the film or pertaining to film making. (We know how hard breaking into the film industry can be!)

1:00-1:45PM HOW TO KEEP YOUR SANITY DURING A ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE (ROOM 134)
A psychologists perspective on the impact a zombie apocalypse has on the psychological well-being on the individual and society. Who is prepared and who isn't when the time comes? You can have all of the cutting moon swords and can of beans in the world but if you aren't psychologically healthy the group will shoot you in the leg and leave you behind so they can escape. A discussion of the characters and their sanity as well as strategies to be prepared and survive the walking dead.

1:00-1:45PM GENDER EQUALITY IN GEEK CULTURE (ROOM 136)
Reflecting on the portrayal of women and men in the media, bringing awareness of how different tropes and memes continue to stigmatize female and male presence in geek culture, and how we can move forward and make a difference.

Every great superhero faces a rogues gallery full of colorful supervillains. What makes a great supervillain? How evil do they have to be? Do they resemble real criminals in any way? Dr. Travis Langley (Batman and Psychology; The Walking Dead Psychology) assembles of super-team of experts to explore what it means to be a supervillain and what kind of person could become one: Salvatore Pane, Steve Horton, Jim Salicrup, and maybe a villain or two. 3:30-4:30 WISH-TV PRESENTS: iZOMBIE INDIANAPOLIS PREMIERE (ROOM 144)
In The CW’s quirky and mysterious new iZombie, Rose McIver stars as Liv Moore, an exuberant rosy-cheeked medical student, who, after being attacked during a zombie feeding frenzy, unexpectedly turns into the newly undead. To blend in and appear human to her family and friends, Liv takes a job at the morgue where she must snack on the brains of murder victims in order to survive. Liv finds that with every brain she consumes, she retains a portion of the victim’s memories and sees the crime scene through their eyes. Working with a detective, she finds that helping solve murders of those who are actually dead breathes new life into her undead existence! From the creator of Veronica Mars, this fun new series premieres Tuesday March, 17th at 9PM on WISH-TV, your new home of The CW. Get a sneak peek by attending Central Indiana’s premiere screening of iZombie.
