Join Wizard World’s Damian Beurer, Alexa Heart, and Jackie Craft who will tell you everything you need to know about dressing up in costumes and going out in public. From wardrobe malfunctions to crazy fans, to how to construct your own costumes and even how to go to the bathroom (you know, in costume), this cosplay squad will give you the inside skinny on the ultimate in spandex fandom. Since 1997, Rob Schamberger has been hard at work illustrating comics and working on fine art pieces. In recent years however, Rob has seen his star rise thanks to a partnership with World Wrestling Entertainment. As the so-called “WWE artist”, Rob’s work has reached millions of fans across the globe, and now gives you the chance to learn about the processes behind his incredible work.

With literally millions of colors in their digital palettes, comics colorists have a more challenging job than ever, with the responsibility of adding mood to the stories they work on, while keeping the narrative clear and compelling. Ace color artist Jeff Balke (Urban Legends; Grimm Fairy Tales; Charmed) discusses his career and his craft. Includes a demonstration of how comics are colored!

Do you know what S.H.I.E.L.D. stands for? You can bet this (former) agent does! Join one of the stars of ABC’s Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., J. August Richards, as he talks Mike Peterson’s growth into Deathlok, his future in the Marvel Universe and what it was like portraying Charles Gunn in the fan-favorite television show Angel.

1:30 – 2:15PM THE ART OF SATURDAY MORNING CARTOON PRODUCTION WITH ANIMATOR/DIRECTOR TOM COOK (ROOM 305)
Wizard World is proud to present world-renown animator Tom Cook (Tarzan; Flash Gordon; He-Man and the Masters of the Universe; She-Ra Princess of Power). This panel will be a demonstration of the steps taken to bring an idea from script to screen. Cook will begin with a short story of how he became an animator back in the late 1970s and then describe the different departments in an animation studio and what they do to move the development of the cartoon forward. Tom will have a few scenes he has worked on over the years on video and then will open the floor for questions about either the process or any other question you may have. So come out and see first-hand how your favorite cartoons were made!

Jason Mewes is best known for portraying the more vocal half of the duo “Jay and Silent Bob” in the Kevin Smith films. Come visit with Iowan native Marty "THEGODBEAST" Hansen as he discusses over 20 years of working in the independent toy world. Hear stories of his travels and work with companies big and small, his work with the True Cast Studio (prototyping for Sideshow and NECA) in Kansas City, and the ins and outs that led up to official mass production of his own action figure toy line the Kabuto Mushi. Marty will answer questions and offer advice to those looking to make their own toys.
