Three former Dodgers All-Stars will appear at Anaheim Comic Con on Saturday!

Former Dodgers All Stars To Appear Saturday @ Anaheim Comic ConAmong the actors, producers, directors, comic artists and other celebrity guests this weekend, three former Dodgers All-Stars will appear at Anaheim Comic Con on Saturday at the Anaheim Convention Center. First baseman Steve Garvey and outfielders Maury Wills and Ken Landreaux will meet fans, sign photos and memorabilia and pose for photographs during the pop culture convention. Several other players, to be announced, will also participate, courtesy of Southern California-based Hall of Fame Sports.

Hall of Fame Sports will conduct a free drawing prize for a framed Magic Johnson jersey (retail value: $799) and will also have free giveaways, while supplies last, including L.A. Kings items at its booth. Attendees can sign up free at the Hall of Fame Sports booth for the drawing, which will take place on Sunday afternoon before the close of the show. Entrants need not be present at the drawing to win.

Hall of Fame Sports will also be buying and selling sports, presidential history and celebrity memorabilia at the booth all weekend.

Garvey will sign from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. on Saturday. A 10-time All-Star and the 1974 National League MVP, he played on the Dodgers' 1981 World Series championship team. The four-time gold glove winner will sign flat items and baseballs for $25 and bats and jerseys for $50.

Wills will sign from 2 – 4 p.m. The speedster was a seven-time All-Star, 1962 National League MVP and two-time Gold Glove winner. The three-time World Series Champion (1959, 1963, 1965) stole 586 bases in his 14-year career. He will sign flats and balls for $25 and bats and jerseys for $35.

Landreaux will be signing between 10:30 – 11:30 a.m. An All-Star with the Minnesota Twins in 1980, Landreaux helped the Dodgers to the 1981 World Series championship. He hit 91 home runs and stole 14 bases in an 11-year Major League career. Landreaux will autograph any item for $10.

Sports collectors will also be interested to know that Beckett Grading Services and James Spence Authentication will be on hand at Anaheim Comic Con, with specials and discounts on their services.
Anaheim Comic Con runs from April 16-18, 2010 at the Anaheim Convention Center. This major pop-culture convention brings together fans of comics, toys, collectibles and offers a chance to see actors, writers, artists that each industry has to offer.
