THE BIGGEST NAMES IN COMICS COMING TO WIZARD WORLD PHILADELPHIA 2009!
Billy Tan, Joe Kelly, Kevin Maguire and more all join Guest of Honor Garth Ennis on the guest list!

Philadelphia is extending its Brotherly Love towards a number of today’s hottest comic creators, much to the delight of comic book fans across the country! With big name guests like JG Jones and Phil Jimenez dropping in for the weekend, this Wizard World Philadelphia is sure to be the biggest yet!
Guest of Honor Garth Ennis is most known for his landmark run as the writer for the Vertigo series Preacher and his character defining work with Marvel’s Punisher in his numerous series. With his current work on Dynamite Entertainment’s The Boys, Ennis is adding another raunchy megahit to his list of achievements.
Joining Ennis are some of comics’ most illustrious scribes including his Back to Brooklyn writing partner Jimmy Palmiotti, Billy Tucci (Sgt. Rock), Sean McKeever (Teen Titans), Greg Pak (War Machine) and Fred Van Lente (Incredible Hercules). Equally remarkable is the list of comic artists attending the con, including Amanda Conner (Terra), JG Jones (Final Crisis), Kevin Maguire (Batman: Confidential), Jim Calafiore (Batgirl), Dennis Calero (X-Men: Noir), Howard Chaykin (Punisher: War Journal), Shane Davis (Final Crisis: Rage of the Red Lanterns), Khoi Pham (Mighty Avengers) and Billy Tan (New Avengers). Fans of Marvel’s wall-crawler will also be pleased to hear that a fearless foursome of Amazing Spider-Man creators will be meeting and greeting fans at Wizard World Philadelphia, including writers Dan Slott and Joe Kelly and artists Phil Jimenez and Paolo Rivera.
Rounding out the guest list are wrestlers Honky Tonk Man and Greg “The Hammer” Valentine as well as Chewbacca himself, Peter Mayhew. Wizard World Philadelphia will also play host to the first Wizard World Philadelphia Comedy Con, which will feature improv and comedy acts from Philadelphia and New York City.
