Two parties punctuate the evening entertainment on Saturday, April 14 at Wizard World Toronto Comic Con, beginning with the popular Drink and Draw/Pre-after Party at 8 p.m. before the action swings over to “Burnorexia” at 10.
The night starts with noted artist Tommy Castillo hosting the Drink & Draw at the Loose Moose Tap & Grill, 146 Front Street West (lower level), steps away from the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. It’s a chance for fans 21 and over to meet talented artists in a relaxed setting, and to watch as they collectively create a unique piece.
For aspiring amateurs, it’s a great chance to rub elbows -- and ink pens -- with the pros, and learn under the watchful eye of a master like Castillo. Entry is free.
At 10, the party moves downtown to The Opera House at 735 Queen St. East, for after party and fundraiser “Burnorexia,” featuring six DJ’s, two fire shows and two levels of art vendors.
Partygoers 19 and over can catch a standout lineup including ARC, Freedom Danish, RoLo, T-minus, Warmuffin and JD Mack, with a stage show by IlluminAir Entertainment and a LIVE Performance by EBM Act “Crystalline Decline.”
Wizard World Toronto Comic Con attendees can attend Burnorexia for $10 with wristband ($20 without), and 100% of profits have been pledged to Toronto Art projects heading to Black Rock City. | | Join tens of thousands of fellow fans as they converge on the Metro Toronto Convention Centre in Canada at Toronto Comic Con to celebrate the best in pop culture.
