Wizard World Portland Comic Con fans have the unique opportunity to get in on the ground floor as 2014 begins the launch of the No’madd fantasy graphic novel series. Writer Andrew Kafoury and his entire creative team for Book One will be on hand at Booth #247, Jan. 24-26 at the Portland Convention Center.

“No’madd: City of Empty Towers” is the first in the series which utilizes mythological motifs similar to the quest of Ulysses, to tell the tale of a Champion who rises to defy The Unconquerable. The hand-drawn book will appeal to fans of all ages -- adults will appreciate the maturity and high stakes in the story, while kids ages eight and up will love the high-quality pictures and fantasy sci-fi.

‘Empty Towers’ combines the distinct styles of Kafoury and artists Kiel Parsons, Todd Herman and Scott Roller.

“I want young writers in the Portland area to grasp their dreams by forming collaborations with inspiring local graphic designers,” said Kafoury. “It is very difficult to get manuscripts, synopsis, and query letters picked up. Young writers should use the medium of graphic art to tell their stories.”

A limited number of copies of “No’madd: City of Empty Towers” (100 pages, black & white) will be available at the No’madd booth as a Wizard World Portland Comic Con Exclusive.
