Recently voted 2012’s “Best Musical” in the Chicago Reader, and fresh off successful performances in Pittsburgh and Indianapolis, Musical of the Living Dead is coming to back to Chicago for a third bloody year! This “musical zom-com” (zombie comedy) is an original musical parody of classic zombie films and musical theatre. Featuring music inspired by everything from Gershwin to Green Day, the show follows the lives of ten very different people trapped in a farmhouse seeking refuge from the horde of brain-eating (and dancing) zombies outside.
Musical of the Living Dead features several sequences of comic carnage and is heavy on both laughs and blood. Guts and gore spray into the first few rows of the audience providing a bloody good time to those both off stage and on.
