Mike specializes in photo-realism, and intense rendering of dynamic subjects. His techniques range from digital color over hand-drawn pencil art, to traditional painting. His studio is located in Glendale, California.
Mike began his art career in 1992 were he penciled comic pages for DC Comics. He honed his comic skills with Zorro for Topps Comics. In 2000, he became the artist on Harris Comic's Vampirella, revolutionizing interior comic art with full pencil rendering. During this period Mike's painting skills blossomed while doing the title's painted covers. Mike took his cover skills to Marvel Comics where he dazzled viewers with his depictions of Mystique, Elektra, and She-Hulk. For Marvel Prose, he did art for two Mary Jane prose young adult novels. Mike has also produced work for film licensing on the Fantastic Four and Superman Returns films. In 2008, Mike made a commitment to storytelling, returning to interior artwork for a WWI Spawn story, X-Men Origins: Jean Grey (his first fully painted comic), and SAVAGE (his first creator owned title). This year Mike's work can be seen online in the motion comic he created for Cisco Systems called "The Realm". |  | | | | | |  | |
