The Los Angeles Film School and Wizard World have unveiled the Wizard World Creative Success Scholarship, a $2,500 scholarship award to be presented to winners of the Wizard World Film Festival at each of the Wizard World shows in 2014.

Independent filmmakers are encouraged to submit original shorts and music videos for consideration to be shown during each Wizard World event. The award, selected by an internal panel, will be announced along with the other Film Festival awards at each show’s conclusion.

Prizes were awarded at Wizard World New Orleans Comic Con (Feb. 7-9) and Sacramento Comic Con (March 7-9), in the category of “Best Student Short.”

The Creative Success Scholarship is designed to encourage and develop future entertainment and media professionals who demonstrate Creative Success to achieving excellence within their chosen path. Through the Wizard World Creative Success Scholarship, eligible participants may receive up to $2,500 toward the tuition of their Los Angeles Film School degree program. If the recipient is also awarded the grand prize, the student will receive an additional scholarship in the amount of $2,500.
