You’ve heard about it on the web! You watched in on TLC... Now, the crew of Sci-Fi Speed Dating, and stars of the TLC show Geek Love, are coming to the Wizard World Chicago Comic Con, August 10-11.
That’s right! If you are tired of “looking for love in Alderaan places,” if you want to “Terminate” your single life, and if you are looking for someone that you’re comic collection will actually impress, then sign up!
There will be three sessions held during the event, each lasting approximately two hours. On Friday, it runs from 3-5 p.m. and on Saturday, sessions go from 1-3 p.m. and 4-6 p.m. Check out the Sci Fi Speed Dating Facebook page for signup info and more details.
Who knows, it might even lead to -- gulp -- marriage! Kerri and Matt, who met at a Sci-Fi Speed Dating event, are getting married next month!
“When I met Matt, something just clicked.” said Kerri. “He was super easy to talk to and just made me feel really relaxed! I was super surprised when we kept bumping into each other after the speed dating sessions! That’s when I knew something was up. Now look where we are! Getting married in a little over 2 weeks! Sci-Fi speed dating has seven engaged couples and approximately 35 couples dating seriously.
