Kevin Max

Kevin Max is one of those stylistic singers, who make you investigate every track within the artist's canon, replaying those signature vocal parts over and over again. As 1/3 of the pop group dctalk, which he joined in 1987, he amassed 4 Grammy's, 18 Dove Awards and sold a career 10 million albums. As a solo artist since 2000, Max has delivered 12 diverse projects, each skewing him further and further away from the CCM superstardom that catapulted him into the public conscience. A published author of poetry, stage and film actor, skilled tunesmith, and gifted with an unforgettable voice likened unto Freddie Mercury and Robert Plant, Max has made his own mark on the industry.

Producing projects with famed David Bowie guitarist Adrian Belew and performing at such contrasting venues such as Vatican and the Royal Albert Hall, Max has seen quite a bit of life. He traveled the world on his second musical project The Imposter and won the Scandinavian Songwriters award for best album. He was asked to join the supergroup Journey by industry mogul John Kalodner of Sanctuary Records and turned it down, citing his interest in following his dreams as a independent artist. Afterwards, the content of the album and bits and pieces of his life were projected on the silver screen in a movie sharing the same title, directed by Dan Millican, in which Max played the leading role. His acting efforts also saw him in the role of Joseph in Andrew Lloyd Webber's Technicolor Dreamcoat in California. Not one to ever sit still, Max continued to put out musical projects, one after another, from Art-Rock Progressive to Gospel and Blues and Spoken Word.

His latest musical project propels him further into the outer banks of European pop culture by teaming up with electronica Dadaist heroes, 3Kstatic and Pop Will Eat Itself. Cotes d Armor is a modern poem about the impending apocalypse says Max, whose latest musical project bridges his obsession with the deconstruction of all things spiritual and the flesh. After touring the project he settled down into the studio to create yet another project titled Fiefdom of Angels which is a companion soundtrack to his graphic novel of the same name. Fiefdom of Angels is the story of the origin of the angelic race and accounts an epic battle between Lucifer and his experimental species and the nine kingdoms of Terra One.
