KEN F. LEVIN occupies a unique position on the gateway between the comics industry and Hollywood. In the 1980's, Ken co-founded 1FIRST COMICS, the first successful comic book company since Marvel, and since 2011 Ken has directed the company's relaunch into publishing as its Director of Creative Content. Levin's talent management company, NightSky Management works with a small select list of top comics creators, and Levin has been instrumental in negotiating, setting up and/or producing some of the comics industry's most anticipated comics based films, including ROAD TO PERDITION, HELLBOY and HELLBOY 2, and WANTED.
Currently in the Hollywood pipeline Levin has THE BOYS (at Paramount), WANTED 2 (at Universal), and the independent film THE SCRIBBLER, based on comics creator Dan Schaffer's screenplay adapting his own THE SCRIBBLER graphic novel (which Levin and Gabe Cowan of New Artists Alliance are producing), starring Katie Cassidy, Michelle Trachtenberg, Garret Dillahunt, Kunal Nayyar, Richard Riehle, Sasha Grey, Eliza Dushku, Billy Campell, Richard Riehl, and Michael Imperioli, set for a 2014 release.
In television, Ken and his long-time producing partner Max Allan Collins are currently Executive Producing the QUARRY pilot for HBO/Cinemax, directed by John Hillcoat, starring Logan Marshall-Green and Stellan Skarsgrd, based upon Collins QUARRY series of novels and short stories. Ken also was instrumental in setting up Garth Ennis PREACHER, just announced in development for AMC Network.
In his spare time, Ken's hobbies include cuticle care, following the E! Network, and photo-bombing Bill Willingham.
