Keith R.A. DeCandido was born in a tiny fishing village in Cuba. He was kidnapped by a roving pack of gypsy librarians and taken to New York City, where he was raised in their vile and depraved ways. He has written more than 40 novels, and a metric butt-load of comic books, short stories, essays, novellas, and more over the past couple of decades. From 1994-2000, he edited the Marvel novels published by Berkely Books, the most ambitious series of superhero prose fiction ever published. Since 2008, he has been writing the monthly Farscape comic, in collaboration with series creator Rockne S. O'Bannon, which is the official continuation of the story after the end of the TV show. Other recent and forthcoming work includes the graphic novel Cars: Rust Bucket Derby, based on the Pixar film; the Dungeons & Dragons novel Dark Sun: Under a Crimson Sun; the Jellico installment of the Star Trek: Captain's Log comic book; stories in the anthologies More Tales of Zorro, Tales of the House Band, Star Trek: Seven Deadly Sins, Star Trek: Mirror Universe: Shards and Shadows, Dragon's Lure, and Liar, Liar; a novel in the Scattered Earth shared-world series; and the novel Unicorn Precinct, the long-awaited sequel to his 2004 high-fantasy police procedural, Dragon Precinct. Keith is also providing the Star Trek: The Next Generation Rewatch at Tor.com twice a week, and contributes to the pop-culture podcast The Chronic Rift and the audio drama HG World. Find out less about Keith at his hopelessly outdated web site at DeCandido.net, read his ramblings at kradical.livejournal.com, or follow him on Facebook and/or Twitter under the username KRADeC.
