Kaiju Big Battel scores with fans

By Stephen Wettstein
WIZARD WORLD AFTER PARTY IS A BIG HITLadies and gentlemen, I am here to report on the genius that is Kaiju: Big Battel All Out War 2. This was a show that was too close for combat (Literally, I saw three people get hit in the face with Styrofoam buildings.)

This Wizard World after party had a simple concept of professional wrestling and gave it a wacky twist by putting everyone in ridiculous costumes. Of course this wasn’t just an all out brawl, it had a weird typical wrestling schedule to it.

The first fight of the night was a grudge match between the terrible Tucor, a half toucan half gerbil mix, and Dusto Bunny, a giant bunny who had the ability to emit dust from his costume. Hysterical doesn’t even begin to describe the show from there on out.

Even though the actual wrestling wasn’t exactly top notch, it was overlooked by the absurd costumes and names of the wrestlers themselves. I almost split my sides when they introduced the wrestler Steam Powered Tentacle Boulder (A giant rock with a furnace in the middle and two squid tentacles as hands).

The crowd was certainly into the show, whether they were shouting “you suck!” chants to the evil Dr. Cube, or cheering on Dino Kang Jr. as he was getting mauled by the Iron Brothers (I started that chant, you’re welcome). All in all, the concept of the show was flawless.
