|Karl Urban of ‘Star Trek,’ ‘Star Trek Into Darkness’ Added To Wizard World Philadelphia Comic Con|
Karl Urban, who portrayed “Dr. McCoy (‘Bones’)” in the 2009 STAR TREK blockbuster and last year’s sequel, STAR TREK INTO DARKNESS, will attend Wizard World Philadelphia Comic Con. Urban will appear at the event Friday through Sunday, June 20-22.
The New Zealand-born Urban, whose numerous other films include DREDD, PATHFINDER, PRIEST, DOOM, THE BOURNE SUPREMACY, THE CHRONICLES OF RIDDICK, GHOST SHIP and THE LORD OF THE RINGS: THE RETURN OF THE KING and THE TWO TOWERS, currently stars as “Detective John Kennex” in the popular new “Almost Human” series on Fox.
Urban also appeared regularly in “Xena: Warrior Princess” prior to his string of hit films in the last decade.
Big screen fans will be pleased to know that Urban is set to appear in at least two 2014 features, THE LOFT and THE WONDER.
In Philadelphia, Urban joins other headliners with “Star Trek” credits, including Whoopi Goldberg (“Star Trek: TNG”) and Christopher Lloyd (STAR TREK III).
