SPECIAL GUEST (Artist - Avengers Vs. X-Men; Uncanny X-Men; Iron Man; Secret Warriors; New Avengers; Wolverine: Weapon X; Civil War; Fantastic Four; Hulk)
Jim Cheung is a British comic book artist. He is currently exclusive with Marvel Comics, and his best known work has been on the ongoing series Young Avengers with writer Allan Heinberg. He was named in August 2005 as one of Marvel’s “Young Guns,” a group of artists that, according to Marvel Editor-in-Chief Joe Quesada, have the qualities that make “a future superstar penciler.” Other “Young Guns” include Olivier Coipel, David Finch, Trevor Hairsine, Adi Granov and Steve McNiven.
Cheung worked on several Marvel series during the mid- to late 1990s. His work on Scion for Crossgen Comics in the early 2000s attracted favorable attention, and he returned to Marvel with a considerably higher profile. He later illustrated the five-issue New Avengers: Illuminati mini-series for Marvel Comics, and then penciled two more issues of New Avengers.
