 Jesse Lopez | |  | | (Creator/Artist - This Is Flipside) | |  | |  Native Texan Jesse Lopez is creator of This Is Flipside, a twice-weekly webcomic about any and all things, including movies, superheroes, talking pets, aliens and Bigfoot squatters, all with help from his awesome photographer wife Stephanie. Their two cats, Maximus and Madeline Juanita, are also frequent contributors to the strip. Mostly Maddie though, as Max claims to be dyslexic. He’s been drawing since he was three, and has been a professional artist/illustrator for 16 years. He’s worked in advertising, news television and promotional products graphic design. As a freelancer, he’s designed team logos, shirts, paper systems, illustrated digital portraits and created artwork for Apple iPhone apps, but he hopes to eventually be able to make a living from comics. Jess eats food on practically a daily basis and is an avid movie watcher, frequently recasting films in his head for no reason. He can quote nearly every line from Blade Runner. He likes all sorts of music - except adult contemporary jazz, which he considers an abomination and a slap in the face to the true pioneers of the genre. He doesn’t really like country music either. Jess does not know karate and is sorely in need of a haircut. His lucky number is four billion.
