|Fans Can Get A Taste Of Geek Media Expo @ Wizard World Nashville Comic Con|
Geek Media Expo (GMX), the Nashville area’s Next Generation Multi-Fandom Exposition, kicks off its fifth year on Nov. 1 at the Cool Springs Conference Center in Franklin, Tenn., for a 48 hour extravaganza encompassing all things geek.
Fans will have an opportunity to learn more about GMX during Wizard World Nashville Comic Con, Oct. 18-20 at the Music City Center.
GMX serves as a celebration of pop culture and interactivity, covering such diverse categories as art, animation, comics, sci-fi, horror, fantasy, tabletop gaming, costuming and props, video gaming, science and technology, Internet culture, genre literature, alternative histories, and more.
The event features a spectacular mix of celebrity guests, artists, industry professionals, feature events, professional speakers, fan discussion panels, workshops, Q&A sessions, vendors, contests and more. Notable guests include “Game of Thrones” actors Kristian Nairn (Hodor) and Amrita Acharia (Irri); “Archer” voice actors Amber Nash (Pam Poovey) and Lucky Yates (Dr. Krieger), “Halo” Master Chief voice actor Steve Downes; prolific voice actor Rob Paulsen (“Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles,” “Pinky & The Brain”), Star Wars novelist Timothy Zahn (The Thrawn trilogy, “Scoundrels”) and more.
GMX Vol. 5 takes place Nov. 1-3 at the Cool Springs Conference Center and adjoining Franklin Marriott Hotel in Franklin, Tenn. Pre-registration for the full weekend ($35) concludes Oct. 11. Walk-in registration will be $45.
Additionally, attendees of Wizard World Nashville Comic Con will receive $5 off the GMX walk-in registration cost by presenting their Comic Con wristband when purchasing their GMX pass at the door.
