Garry Schyman started his musical composition career after graduating from USC. Just out of the university he was then employed by the legendary Mike Post and Pete Carpenter organization where he worked on the team's roster of top rated series such as MAGNUM P.I. and THE A-TEAM. As creator of the music for the multiple award-winning video game BIOSHOCK - winner of Best Original Score from the Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences, SPIKE TV's Best Original Video Game Score Award, and G4 TV's Soundtrack of the Year Award - Garry Schyman has emerged as one of the medium's foremost composers. To immerse players in this captivating and haunting world Schyman crafted a combination of aleatoric elements, early 20th century writing, musique concrte, traditional tonal and late romantic styles. The score, recorded with a live orchestra at historic Capitol Studios in Hollywood, features solo violin, cello, and piano performances. Following the worldwide critical success of BIOSHOCK, Garry Schyman was assigned by Electronic Arts to create the hellish, dramatic score for Visceral Games adaptation of Dante Alighieri's epic poem, DANTE's INFERNO. The orchestral score and chorus were recorded at the world famous Abbey Road Studios in London with the Philharmonia Orchestra and the Metro Voices Singers.
