Directors of four new films will meet fans and discuss their respective works @ Chicago Comic Con!
<font color="red">CENTURION UPDATE</font>: From The Director's Chair:  Moviemakers Meet Moviegoers @ Chicago Comic Con Screenings, Panels!Directors of four new films will meet fans and discuss their respective works at Wizard World Chicago Comic Con, August 19-22 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, Ill!

Director Alexandre O. Philippe and Producer Robert Muratore of THE PEOPLE VS. GEORGE LUCAS will be on hand to talk about the new independent film that has been getting a bit of notice for its creative approach to looking at how fans have reacted to the famous film franchise over the past three decades-plus. Wizard World Comic Con is hosting the Midwest premiere for the film on Friday, August 20, at 8:30 p.m., at the convention center, separate admission required. The event will also feature a debate and a George Lucas look-a-like contest. Fans can learn more about the film at http://peoplevsgeorge.com/.

UPDATE: Chicago Comic Con and Ain't It Cool News are co-presenting a special screening of CENTURION on Thursday, August 19, 2010 at 7pm at a theater in downtown Chicago. CENTURION director Neil Marshall and co-star Axelle Carolyn will be in attendance and will take questions from members of the audience. This screening will be moderated by "Capone" from Ain't It Cool News. Anyone looking to attend the screening need only send an e-mail with the following headline - I AM A SOLDIER OF ROME! - to screenings@wizardent.com by 12pm on Thursday, August 19 (entries must include the headline). Please include your name and the name of one guest and we will send you details that afternoon. If you are unable to attend. Please note that tickets are limited and are on a first come, first served basis. Plus, everyone who attends gets a free t-shirt courtesy of Magnet Releasing, distributors of CENTURION! At 7 p.m. on Thursday at AMC Theater, 600 North Michigan Ave., will be a screening of CENTURION, a Celador Films production with a Q&A session. It is a rough and bloody action film, loosely based on true events, about a group of Roman Soldiers hunted by vicious Pict warriors in Northern England in 117 A.D. Neil Marshall, who also directed THE DESCENT and DOOMSDAY, will participate in a preview session at 1 p.m. on Friday.

DEVIL, an M. Night Shyamalan story to be distributed by Universal, is about a group of people trapped in an elevator who realize that the devil is among them. Brothers Drew and John Erick Dowdle, who directed the film, as well as the movie QUARANTINE, will meet moviegoers at Friday's 2 p.m. panel.

All panels will be moderated by Steve Prokopy (a.k.a. "Capone") from Ain't It Cool News.

In addition, Chicago Comic Con attendees can also catch a screening of VAN VON HUNTER on Friday at 6 p.m. as part of the Tokyo Pop Anime Pavilion. Director Stuart Levy will attend and answer questions about the movie.
Chicago Comic Con runs from August 19-22, 2010 at the Rosemont Convention Center. This major pop-culture convention brings together fans of comics, toys, collectibles and offers a chance to see actors, writers, artists that each industry has to offer.
