Joss Whedon fans -- and legions of other theatergoers -- are counting down the minutes until Friday’s release of The Cabin in the Woods on screens across North America. For Wizard World Toronto Comic Con attendees over the weekend, it might seem like they’ve been transported to the remote, rustic, and somewhat mysterious cabin that Whedon and director/co-writer Drew Goddard have brought to the big screen.
Alliance Films will set up a scaled version of a cabin similar to the one in the film, with the trailer and movie clips playing on monitors on the porch. This cabin promises to be much kinder to visitors: dropping by the booth earns you a chance to win a 47” TL515 3D TV from Toshiba. The TL515 series with passive 3D technology utilizes economical polarized 3D glasses and RealD™ 3D technology used in movie theatres around the world. Passive 3D technology reduces eye strain, allowing for more comfortable prolonged periods of viewing such as 3D gaming and 3D movies.
It doesn’t end there: fans can pick up free posters and promo items, as well as win additional prizes via Alliance Films’ Twitter account, @AllianceFilms.
The Cabin in the Woods experience at Wizard World Toronto Comic Con is a unique way to celebrate the critically acclaimed, genre-bending film that Fangoria has described as “all your favorite horror movies wrapped up in one.”
