Eric Cajiuat “Jedi Elvis”
|(Elvis Tribute Artist)|
|Eric Cajiuat is “Jedi Elvis,” an Elvis Tribute Artist who specializes in Elvis songs sung with Star Wars-themed parody lyrics. He developed the character of Jedi Elvis to express his interests in and build a greater awareness of both the Star Wars universe as well as Elvis Presley and his music. An experienced stage actor, Eric performs regularly as the character of Magee at Pirates Dinner Adventure, Buena Park, CA and on stages all around Los Angeles and Orange County, and yes, that was him you saw singing the National Anthem on Jimmy Kimmel Live.|
He currently has out several songs, all Elvis parodies with Star Wars lyrics, such as “Death Star Rock,” “Viva Mos Eisley” and “In The Desert”. He also performs a 45 minute Jedi Elvis Tribute show with his band, The Rebel Alliance, showcasing Jedi Elvis parodies, as well as some of Elvis Presleyʼs not-as-well -remembered hits.
After seeing the Jedi Elvis concert, Chris Gore from G4’s “Attack of the Show” tweeted, “Nuke The Fridge Con closes out with a killer performance from Jedi Elvis.” The RealmCast’s podcast noted that Jedi Elvis was “on a Weird Al level of parody” and to “expect big things” from Jedi Elvis in the future. The clip from Jimmy Kimmel Live has had over 20,000 hits and is also playing over and over in New York City taxicabs.
