Tom Wopat is best known for portraying Luke Duke in THE DUKES OF HAZZARD alongside John Schneider and Catherine Bach for seven seasons on CBS. Thanks to their light-hearted performances and truly impressive car action sequences, Wopat and his co-stars quickly became pop culture icons. During the fifth season, an animated spinoff called THE DUKES aired on Saturday mornings. Following the conclusion of the series, the cast returned for two DUKES OF HAZZARD reunion movies as well as several DUKES OF HAZZARD video games.
Wopat has also appeared in numerous Films and TV series, including CYBILL, MURDER, SHE WROTE, FANTASY ISLAND, A PEACEABLE KINGDOM, HOME IMPROVEMENT and SMALLVILLE. More recently, Wopat can be seen in THE HIVE, THE UNDERSTUDY and TAKING CHANCE.
Wopat is also an accomplished rock and roll and country singer with eight albums under his belt. He has also appeared on Broadway in I LOVE MY WIFE, GUYS AND DOLLS, ANNIE GET YOUR GUN, 42ND STREET, GLENGARRY GLEN ROSS, A CATERED AFFAIR and CHICAGO. Off Broadway, Wopat has starred in THE MUSIC MAN.
In July 2009, Wopat appeared as Frank Abignale, Sr. in the new musical CATCH ME IF YOU CAN based on the 2002 film directed by Steven Spielberg.
