Derrek founded Crystal Fractal Comics in 2007 and quickly launched the company’s first issue, “Crystal Fractal Universe #0.0,” in 2008. A life-long comic book fan, Derrek works as the company’s publisher and has overseen the publication of five additional titles set within the Crystal Fractal Universe, while also working with First Nations groups to publish a series of one-shot comic books to help preserve the culture and history of Canada’s First Nations. The first of these books, “The Legend of the Sleeping Giant,” was released in October 2011.
