Dave's first encounter with fantasy art was Frazetta's Death Dealer, that was the first spark. A steady diet of Marvel Comics, Godzilla movies, and inspiration from iconic artists like Simon Bisley, Frank Miller, the path was set, although not immediate. Working odd jobs over the years, and drawing in his spare time; Dave's first professional work didn't come until his late 20's. Working as a bouncer in Southern California, he took a second job at Kinko's to have access to a computer; at the time he didn't own one. Teaching himself Photoshop after hours and during lunch breaks, scanning in his drawings and learning to color and render. Opportunity met preparation when a rep from Midway Entertainment saw his work up on the monitors, and a month later he was working in the games industry. Dave currently works as a concept artist in films and games, he is also a professional comic artist working for Marvel Comics.
