Dan Smith “SMIF”Dan “Smif” Smith, has worked as an artist, writer and game creator since 1989, starting out in the RPG industry for Steve Jackson Games (GURPS, Illuminati, INWO), White Wolf Games (Vampire/Werewolf/Mage), FASA (Shadowrun, Battletech) and a host of others. In 2000, Dan illustrated the acclaimed In Nomine RPG book, winning the Origins award for Best Art Presentation. Dan followed his love of music in creating Battle of the Band: the Rock and Roll card game, nominated for 2 Origins awards in 2002. Since then he’s worked with Saban Entertainment (Power Rangers), HASBRO (Game of Life), Madonna (for the Hard Candy tour), Fox Interactive (Cops), Lip Service (Clothing Design), Papaya Studios (Toy Story Midway Mania), Yahoo! and Facebook. Dan’s most recent project is Samurai, the Graphic Novel featuring his ghost tale, “An Honorable Death”. Smif is also co-creator on the upcoming Blue Knights (with Karl Altstaetter (Me2; Deity; Emerald City Blues; Bloodstrike ), Infernus (with S. John Ross (GURPS Russia and GURPS Warehouse 23) as well as costume designer on Hero Code (with Jamie Gambell (Omnitarium). Since the birth of his son he’s also ventured into children’s books with his wife Tisha Parti on the children’s counting book “13 Cats.”
