Cory Smith

(Artist/Sculptor)

Cory Smith is a self-taught artist with no formal training. He started his interest in art by watching his father draw when he was 6 years old. After high school he took a couple figure drawing classes at the local community college, where drawing both the male and female forms and learning about anatomy have helped him as an artist and a sculptor. He has worked in many different mediums of art including pencil and charcoal sketches, acrylics and oil on canvas, murals, commercial window art, and sculpting. In 11 years he has completed 23 statues. Currently, he is gone back to his favorite medium which is pencil portraiture.
