“The way I see it, if you’re gonna build a time machine into a car, why not do it with some style?”
Dr. Emmett Brown’s word in BACK TO THE FUTURE ring just as true today as they did in 1985. And replicas of classic movie and TV cars like the trilogy’s DeLorean Time Machine are a highlight for many Wizard World fans.
The DeLorean will be joined by Fiberglass Freaks’ officially licensed 1966 Batmobile replica at the inaugural Wizard World Louisville Comic Con, March 28-30 at the Kentucky International Convention Center.
The stainless steel, gull-winged DeLorean sent Marty McFly (Michael J. Fox) racing through time to save himself and others throughout the trilogy. This faithful, street legal version, featuring the famous ‘Flux Capacitor,’ has toured three countries as an ambassador for the official web site BTTF.com, and is used to raise funds and awareness for the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research.
Batman’s most useful weapon in his war against crime is the Batmobile, the black thunderbolt that knifes through Gotham’s streets when danger threatens. The vehicle has undergone many design changes over the years: in the earliest days of Batmans career, it was a giant armor plated sedan; advanced automotive technology has turned the Batmobile into the sleek street machine The Dark Knight currently drives.
Fiberglass Freaks’ version is the real deal, put together by Batman fanatic Mark Racop and his team.
