 Erik Estrada made his film debut in THE CROSS AND THE SWITCHBLADE opposite Pat Boone. Afterwards, Estrada soon landed roles in AIRPORT 1975, THE NEW CENTURIONS, KOJACK, MANNIX, THE NIGHT STALKER, HAWAII FIVE-O and MIDWAY before being cast as Francis "Ponch" Poncherello in the hit television series CHiPs. The series ran for six seasons and made Estrada into one of the most popular actors of his generation.
Following CHiPs, Estrada went on to appear in HOUR OF THE ASSASSIN, THE LOST IDOL, GUNS, THE SOUNDS OF SILENCE, HUNTER, THE DIRTY DOZEN: THE FATAL MISSION, THE NEW ALFRED HITCHCOCK PRESENTS and BAYWATCH.
In the early 1990s, Estrada was cast in the telenovela DOS MUJERES, UN CAMINO, which went on for four hundred episodes and was one of the most successful telenovelas in Latin American history. Estrada also appeared in NATIONAL LAMPOON’S VAN WILDER, HORRORWEEN, THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL, SON OF THE BEACH, MARTIN and has lent his vocal skills to various animated series including FAMILY GUY, KING OF THE HILL and SEA LAB 2021.
More recently, Estrada has appeared in THE SURREAL LIFE, ARMED & FAMOUS, ACCORDING TO JIM, LIFE, MY NAME IS EARL, MEET THE BROWNS and COP TALK.
