Early in his career, Ed Gale portrayed a Dink in SPACEBALLS and a dwarf in PHANTASM II. However, it was his role as the title character in HOWARD THE DUCK that launched him towards greater parts.
In 1988, Gale took on his most famous role: the killer doll Chucky in CHILD’S PLAY. With Gale’s childlike body and mannerisms along with Brad Dourif’s chilling vocal performance, Chucky became a horror icon through five feature films.
Gale has also appeared in BILL & TED’S BOGUS JOURNEY, WEIRD SCIENCE, THE POLAR EXPRESS, O BROTHER, WHERE ART THOU?, 3RD ROCK FROM THE SUN, SABRINA THE TEENAGE WITCH and THE ADVENTURES OF ROCKY & BULLWINKLE. Gale will also appear in the upcoming comedy SPEED-DATING.
