Carl Ciarfalio


Carl Ciarfalio is a 35 year veteran of the entertainment industry with a multi-faceted career as a Stunt Coordinator, Stuntman and Actor.

He has worked with film and television heavyweights alike including Martin Scorsese, Ron Howard, Steven Soderbergh, Tom Cruise, Clint Eastwood, Jennifer Garner, Kiefer Sutherland, Jamie Foxx, and Chuck Norris.

Carl's journey into the world of action entertainment began in high school and college athletics where he was an award-winner in wrestling and football. He then began to perform in live Wild West Shows at Knott's Berry Farm and Universal Studios. He received his Screen Actors Guild card in 1978 and has been happily working in his chosen profession ever since.

Thanks to his skills as an actor as well as a stuntman, Carl continues to win a number of roles in both television programs and feature films. Some of his notable television work includes roles on CSI, Southland, NCIS, Castle, The Mentalist, House, 24, Heroes, ER, Daybreak, Numbers, and Days of Our Lives. His high-profile feature credits include such blockbusters as Spiderman 4, The Green Hornet, The Book of Eli, MI:3, Poseidon, Fast & Furious 3, Daddy Day Care, Fight Club, Traffic, The Limey, Far and Away, and Casino.

Carl has won a number of awards and been active in promoting stunts and action throughout the entertainment industry. In 1985 he was the recipient of the Best Fight Sequence award in the 1st Annual Stuntman Awards for his performance in the television series, Knight Rider. Carl was inducted into the Stuntmen's Association of Motion Pictures in 1985 and served as its President from 1992 through 1996.

In 2000, Carl worked helped to establish the Stunt Peer Group within the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences and served as Governor for its initial two terms. In 2001, he was a key player in establishing the first Emmy Award for Outstanding Stunt Coordination, an award that continues to be presented annually at the Television Academy's Creative Arts Awards Ceremony, of which Carl has served as Co-Chair. Also in 2001, Carl shared in a SAG award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble Cast for the film Traffic. Carl was very pleased to bring additional recognition to the international stunt community through is working in creating and developing the annual Taurus World Stunt Awards and Taurus Foundation. He continues to serve the program through his position on the Taurus Awards Blue Ribbon Committee.
