Brandon Seifert writes and letters the medical horror comic WITCH DOCTOR, which he co-created with artist Lukas Ketner. After self-publishing the series from 2008 to 2010 and gaining industry attention and award nominations, Seifert and Ketner were hand-picked by Robert Kirkman to be the debut Skybound Original title from Kirkman’s imprint at Image Comics. WITCH DOCTOR was one of the highest-selling debuts at Image Comics in 2011, and received critical acclaim and a rabid response from readers.
Seifert is an expatriate Alaskan living in Portland, Oregon, where he was a student in Brian Michael Bendis’ inaugural comics writing class at Portland State University; he returned the follow year as Bendis’ teacher’s aid. He’s a former arts and culture journalist, and used to fact-check The Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe.
