Bonnie Piesse first got into the business when she was 13. A friend of hers got an agent and began doing some work, and suggested she do the same. It took her about two years to start getting work. Her first lead role was as a circus performer in the Australian children's television show "High Flyers" (1999). It was a six month shoot, so she had to be away from school. Whenever possible, she attended her regular alternative school. There she learned the violin, but is mostly partial to guitar. Also a singer, Bonnie plays music gigs and hopes to get a CD made. She describes the music she performs as "contemporary folk - sort of folky, with a bit of rock." She also enjoys writing and cooking, especially vegetarian cooking. Continuing with her acting, Bonnie got roles on "Blue Heelers" (1994) and "Horace & Tina" (2001), before playing the lead in the independent film 'Composite Creatures'.
Then came the job that will garner her the most attention, by not only Australian audiences, but the world, as Beru Whitesun in Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones (2002). She got the call from the casting director, who, she thinks, saw her photo on an actor's database.
