 Bobby Ray Akers Jr. | |  | | (Writer/Co-Artist – The Vengeance of Sleepy Hollow; FROSTY: ‘Twas The Night Before The Apocalypse, Model – Ginger-Stein: Rise of The Undead, Editor – PLAYZOM Magazine) |  |  |  | Bobby Ray Akers Jr., grew up submersed with a passion for anything horror and began networking in the horror convention circuit across the country in 2004.
Throughout 2008, Akers co-produced and was a puppeteer the horror anthology “Monsterpiece Theatre,” which stars genre favorites Kane Hodder (Friday the 13th VII - X), Tiffany Shepis (Night of the Demons), Caroline Williams (The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2), Eileen Dietz (The Exorcist), Ashley Bank (The Monster Squad), John Carl Buechler (Director, Friday the 13th VII), Kathleen Kinmont (Halloween 4), Joe Knetter (Terror Overload), Steve Barton (Uncle Creepy - Dread Central), and Leslie Easterbrook (Police Academy).
Then December 2008, he directed and executive produced the short film “Christmas Stalking,” starring Bill Chott (The Ringer, Galaxy Quest, The Rum Diary), for Dead of Night Films and Fly Vision Entertainment; which received a lot of press in the St. Louis area.
More recently Bobby handled the Special FX for director Pascal Beauboeuf’s short film “Surprise, Surprise,” then went on to model character of FBI Agent Rob Parker in Dennis Willman’s Ginger-Stein: Rise of the Undead comic book series, co-wrote and co-illustratedThe Vengeance of Sleepy Hollow: Origins multimedia illustrated art book, which was released from Dead of Night Entertainment and Iron Dead Studios September 14, 2012.
Bobby is currently working as editor and quality control on the entertainment parody magazine PLAYZOM, F.R.O.S.T.Y. ‘Twas The Night Before The Apocalypse and the next installment of The Vengeance of Sleepy Hollow.
Moving forward Akers is developing Dead of Night Entertainment into a multimedia studio that will produce soundtracks, novels, graphic novels, storybooks, and comic book properties that can be turned into franchise films. |  | | | | | |  | |
