A former Walt Disney Imagineer, Bernard was a concept designer, responsible for blue sky design which is coming up with the ideas that will become the next theme parks, entertainment centers, attractions, shows and rides. his projects included the new Disney MGM studios icon and interactive games for the 100 Years of Magic celebration, as well as the ANIMATION PAVILLION (California Adventure), the MILLENNIUM VILLAGE event (Epcot), and PIRATES OF THE CARRIBBEAN:BATTLE FOR BUCANNEER GOLD (Disney Quest), all of which received THEA AWARDS for best new attractions.
Before joining Disney, Bernard firmly planted his artistic roots in the comic book industry. His work for Valiant, Marvel, and DC Comics landed him a coveted spot on the top ten artists list in WIZARD:THE GUIDE TO COMICS. Bernard's current client list includes: Artisan Pictures, Blue Sky Press, Disney, The New York Times, Paramount Pictures, Scholastic, Sony Pictures, Vivendi Universal, Wizkids Games, and most recently, Reganbooks/ Harpercollins featuring the NY TIMES bestsellers HOW TO MAKE LOVE LIKE A PORN STAR and THE GAME, as well as their first ever graphic novel, HOW TO MAKE MONEY LIKE A PORN STAR.
Bernard received his bachelor's degree in architecture from PRATT INSTITUTE in New York City, graduating with honors, and was the captain of the men's basketball team. Former assistant coach of the Miami Heat, TONY FIORENTINO, projected Bernard as a late third round pick in the 1995 NBA draft, before his career in art took off. He is a graduate of the prestigious NEW WORLD SCHOOL OF THE ARTS in Miami, Florida, home of the world famous Fightin Pigeons.
