|Anthony Spay is an American comic book artist and currently the Staff Artist and Art Director for Zenescope Entertainment. After receiving his BA from Gettysburg College, with a dual major in Art and Business, Anthony briefly joined the “rat race” and landed a job with a financial firm. After a couple of years, he decided to leave that life behind, and instead pursue his passion: Making comic books. Upon graduating with an MFA in Sequential Art from the Savannah College of Art and Design, Anthony embarked on his career as a comic artist, and in 2009 began working as a freelance penciler for Zenescope, eventually being hired as the company’s Art Director, where he utilizes his business experience and creative skills on a daily basis. |
Mainly known for his cover work with Zenescope, penciling over 30 covers a year, Anthony also designs many of Zenescope’s characters, and was the lead editor on Zenescope’s hugely successful OZ series as well as The ‘Vikings’ comic for the History Channel. He also has established himself as a writer, penning the well-received Grimm Universe #4 and Grimm Fairy Tales #96. Currently, Anthony is completing work on the interior pencils for the landmark 100th issue of Grimm Fairy Tales.
