Ande has been inking comic books for nearly two decades. As an inker, he has worked on such titles as Superman, Wonder Woman, Daredevil, The Irredeemable Ant-Man, The Exterminators, Fear Agent, and El Diablo, often collaborating with penciler Phil Hester. Ande is best known for his work on Green Arrow, with collaborators Hester, Kevin Smith, Brad Meltzer and Judd Winick. Ande has been nominated as best inker in the Eagle and Harvey awards.
In recent years, Parks has turned his attention to writing. His first two original graphic novels, Union Station, and Capote In Kansas, published by Oni Press, have earned critical acclaim. Capote In Kansas was named a Notable Book for the state of Kansas in 2006, the first graphic novel to receive such an honor.
And has also written two Daredevil specials for Marvel Comics, as well as several other shorts and single issues. IN 2008, Oni Press published the return of Ande's first creations, Uncle Slam and Fire Dog.
Parks works as a full-time writer these days. He's just wrapping his next graphic novel, a South American kidnapping story called Ciudad (which he co-created with Joe and Anthony Russo and has already been optioned by Paramount). Ande is currently developing new graphic novel projects.
Ande currently writes The Lone Ranger, Green Hornet and Witchblade: Demon Reborn, all for Dynamite Entertainment.
Parks lives in Baldwin City, Kansas with his lovely wife and two children. When not bent staring at a computer monitor, he can often be found staring at a golf ball or bent over a glass of Jack Daniels.
