Wizard showcases some of the talent you will find appearing in Artist Alley at our upcoming shows and gives you the 411 on what to expect at the con and what projects they have coming down the pipeline.
1) What are you currently working on?
Im doing a new 5-issue mini-series at Marvel. But I cant say what it is just yet. But it will be out in May. Look for it in the February solicitations!
Im also working on a new WildGuard 3-issue mini-series, WildGuard: Insider. It will collect all the online WildGuard comic strips from the official WildGuard site, http://wildguard.com. And it will feature all new stories of WildGuard cast members and rejected contenders for the team.
And Im wrapping up my monthly run on Teen Titans Go for DC Comics.
2) What do you like best about attending the Wizard World shows?
I love to meet the fans while hanging out in Artist Alley. Ive always had a good experience talking with them as I do commission sketches. Its also fun to hang out with my fellow creators. Since we all live in different parts of the country and world, conventions are a great way to reconnect.
3) What are your plans for 2008?
Working hard on all those comics I mentioned in question #1!
4) What is the project you are most proud of in your career?
Im really proud of my runs on Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man for Marvel Comics and Young Justice for DC Comics.
And Id say releasing my creator owned series, WildGuard. There is nothing quite like writing and drawing your own stuff.
5) What is your dream project?
Id like to try my hand at the Fantastic Four or an X-Men book. Ive been a fan of those characters for years!
6) What characters would you most want to party with? Date? Fight?
Party: The Justice League international. Those guys get into all sorts of trouble!
Date: If I werent already married, Id date Barbara Gordon. Smart, funny, and hot.
