Wizard showcases some of the talent you will find appearing in Artist Alley at our upcoming shows and gives you the 411 on what to expect at the con and what projects they have coming down the pipeline.
1) What are you currently working on?
I'm working on GUMBY # 4 with Bob Burden and Rick Geary, editing the new GUMBYs GANG mini series by Michael Aushenker and special top secret artists, editing Arthur Adams Gumby material from the 80s to be reprinted from Wildcard Ink and Image Comics later in 2008, writing and editing DEAD AHEAD with Clark Castillo and drawn by the great ALEX NINO for Image Comics that will change the face of horror comics you'll see, as well as storyboarding the new GUMBY movie to be released in 2009.
2) What do you like best about attending the Wizard World shows?
The fans of course, also chatting with fellow comic alumni and friends, hunting down the illusive copies of Jack Kirby Avengers / Fantastic Fours I already have but can't get enough of anyways, looking at original art, and figuring out what to do afterwards.
3) What are your plans for 2008?
Sleep sometime BUT until then try and produce the greatest comics I can with the greatest guy's I can for everyone to enjoy! Oh ya and taking over the world Pinky!
4) What is the project you are most proud of in your career?
I haven't produced it yet I feel............ But that darn Eisner I won last year on Gumby for "Best Publication for a Younger Audience" is a good start for sure!
5) What is your dream project?
Don't tell anyone but it's Batman.
Or the Gumby / Wonder Woman story I'm trying to get DC to bit on ( with the help of the fans ). Outside of that whatever thing I'm dreaming up at the time to share with the world!! Nyuck nyuck
6) What characters would you most want to party with? Date? Fight?
PARTY - Wolverine of the Bryne era, Hercules, She Hulk.
DATE - Too many bulls in the pen on that one, I don't need no jealous superhero beating me up over this one no way Jose!
FIGHT - Franklin Richards when he was four, or Willy the postman I'd wup em both at once.
